3.      Ion Exchange

Ion exchange filters use sodium ions to attract impurities. These filters make water taste softer.

4.      Distillation

One of the simplest water filters, distillation boils the water to kill bacteria, and condenses the steam back into clean water. This filter does not remove chemicals.
